About Us

The LeClaire Public Works Facility is located at 1802 Iowa Drive, was built in 2003, and houses the city vehicle and equipment fleet / maintenance and salt storage facility / wastewater treatment facility and is staffed with 8 employees.  

The Public Works Department maintains the city's sanitary sewer system, streets, storm water, snow/ice removal, parks/riverfront levee, traffic signs and signals, city owned buildings and grounds, and tree trimming.

For any questions or concerns related to city facilities, roads, or parks, please contact the Public Works Supervisor anytime during regular work hours Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.  For any emergencies after regular work hours, the city PWD can be reached 24/7/365 by dialing the City's main phone number (563) 289-4242 and pressing 3 & 1500.  This will put you directly into the Public Works emergency contact voice mailbox where you can leave a message which will be automatically relayed to Public Works personnel.

The City of LeClaire PWD was 1 of 10 Iowa Communities awarded the Iowa LTAP Work Zone Sign Package for 2022.  This material was delivered to the Public Works Facility April 11, 2022.
