Chief Shane Themas has been with the department since 2001. He grew up in Clinton, Iowa and studied Criminal Justice at Clinton Community College before joining the Clinton County Sheriff's Reserves. In January of 2000 he began working as a Correctional Officer for the Scott County Sheriff's Office. In July of 2001, Shane was hired as a police officer for the Princeton Police Department where he worked until October of that year, when he was hired as a police officer for the LeClaire Police Department. He has worked as a patrolman, investigator, Sergeant of Patrol and ultimately was promoted to Chief of Police in November of 2012.
